I sponsored a friend for a walk-a-thon to raise money for AIDS. Please consider sponsoring her, she is young (19) and the type of person who has a lot of energy and passion and would probably do a lot more volunteer work if encouraged, especially by strangers. Not, of course, that anyone is strange.
