Am I a narcissistic philanthroper?

I am cleaning my house for an ObamaWorks meeting of our local group. 25 people have RSVPd and its our third official monthly meeting. We are collecting travel size/hotel soaps and shampoos as well as food for the shelter and magazines for the VA (I bring them in every week anyhow). Our last diaper drive (for Jan 19) was very successful, we got over 16,000 diapers donated to our local shelter. Got thier attention, they've never had 'enough' before.

Back and diapers

I'm just back from a long trip to Canada. It was cold.

Our Obama service group has started a social website - Rose City ObamaWorks and I'm now one of the admins. Sure I'll do it. I'm hoping it will be a great resource for dealing with a lot of our local issues. Grassroots change begins at home.

I just ordered diapers for our diaper drive for our local shelter online. I went through igive so a percentage of the money will go to the Kiva Shopping club.
