Helping Maria in Nicaragua

I bid on the only loan in Central America - to Maria for her used clothing business. She has been working in the market since she was 10.

I find it an interesting cultural note to see how female clients often feel they have to explain why they are in businesses. e.g. Her husband's income was not enough to cover their household costs, so Maria Elena decided to invest in her own business.

Hi,
I tripped across your blog today and wanted to say "hi'. We just started a project One Million Peace Signs 3 wks ago.

We have a blog with 600 posts on it already at www.onemillionpeacesigns.blogspot.com and a website with almost 3,000 photos on it at www.onemillionpeacesigns.com

We're really excited and inspired...I hope you'll chek them out!

And if you have a peace photo...we'd love you to add it! And if you pass it on....that'd be great too...a million is a lot :)
