Transportation in Nicaragua

I made a loan today through Kiva.org to Fransisico Javier Mendoza Balmceda for his transportation business. The loan is long - 22 months and for a large amount ($1200). I am guessing this loan will take longer to fund. But Kiva only has 38 loans right now, and only had 2 yesterday.

The Kiva statistics are a bit astounding to me, because I remember when Kiva loaned its first million, and now it lends 3/4 of a million each week. Lenders are counted by the second.

I hope Education Generation takes off that way and we start significantly changing the literacy rates in the world. I just contributed to the education of Anne Anyago in Kenya.

I have HOPE, despite all the obsticles.
